  14. Windows UnArchive is a program which is used to extract and decompress 
  15. files from ZIP and ARJ format archives.  It takes the place of both 
  16. command-line DOS unarchivers and Windows-based front ends for those utilities.

  18. Windows UnArchive is the succesor to Windows Unzip, which is now discontinued.  
  19. Registrations for Windows Unzip postdated after October 15, 1991 will not be 
  20. accepted.  Those with registered copies of Windows Unzip can still receive 
  21. phone, mail, and e-mail support, and an inexpensive upgrade option is to Windows 
  22. UnArchive is available.

  24. Features and improvements over Windows Unzip include:

  26.       * 60% - 90% faster exploding than Windows Unzip
  27.       * Support for the ARJ archive format
  28.       * Ability to run a member file using its assocciation
  29.       * A new "Try Out" feature, perfect for trying downloads

  32. To use Windows UnArchive you must have MS-Windows 3.0 or greater and you must run 
  33. Windows in Standard or Enhanced Mode.  Windows UnArchive will not operate in Real 
  34. Mode.

  36. To try Windows UnArchive, place the files WUNA.EXE and WUNA.HLP together in your 
  37. windows directory, or some other directory in your path.  You can then run WUNA.EXE 
  38. from Program Manager, File Manager, or any other shell.  If you don't know how to use 
  39. File Manager, or set up a program in Program manager, please refer to your Windows 
  40. manual.

  42. Rather than explain how to use Windows UnArchive in this document, I have put all 
  43. instructions in the help file, WUNA.HLP.  To view this file you can click the Help 
  44. button in Windows UnArchive or run the command-line: "winhelp.exe [path]wuna.hlp" 
  45. from Program Manager or File Manager.  (Look for the Run command under the File menu 
  46. in either program.)  If you have used Windows for any length of time at all, and know 
  47. about ZIP or ARJ files, you should find Windows UnArchive easy to use with minimal use 
  48. of the help file.  Even if you are an experienced Windows user, please read the 
  49. command-line section of the help file for some information on using Windows UnArchive 
  50. with File Manager.

  55. Windows UnArchive is not free.  It is a commercial Shareware product.  You are permited 
  56. to evaluate this product for 15 days.  After that time you must  register or discontinue 
  57. using the program.  The use of unregistered copies of Windows UnArchive, beyond the 
  58. evaluation period, by any person, business, corporation, government agency or any other 
  59. entity is strictly prohibited.  The basic registration fee for Windows UnArchive is $10.  
  60. Inexpensive upgrades are available for registered users of Windows Unzip 1.x.  For 
  61. instructions on how to register, see the file ORDRFRM.WRI.

  93. so long as there is no specific charge for the download of Windows UnArchive.  Vendors of 
  94. user-supported or shareware software may distribute Windows UnArchive, so long as any 
  95. duplication and handling fees do not exceed eight dollars, and notice is clearly given 
  96. that such fees do not grant the evaluator a license to use Windows UnArchive beyond the
